Biography
Ivana June is a rising London-based independent artist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who blends Neo-soul, R&B and Latin influences to create music that is both personal and deeply relatable. Ivana writes and co-produces her music, maintaining her full creative vision. After recently releasing her single 'Peppermint Tea' on March 4th, she continues to record her debut EP which will be launching in 2026.
Raised in a musical household in London, Ivana was introduced to the piano by her father at a young age, eventually writing songs at the age of 10. With a drive to refine her musical ideas, she then taught herself guitar, bass and music production. Her identity as both a writer and a producer has given her the creative freedom to craft her sound precisely as she envisions it, with her Spanish heritage playing a key role, influencing the rhythms and melodies toward which she naturally gravitates. Recent inspiration include acts such as The Marias, Olivia Dean, Amaria and Clairo.
Ivana’s second single 'In Time' quietly gained traction, reaching over 350,000 streams and helping her connect with a growing audience beyond her local scene. Both 'In Time' and the release that followed, 'Around', have been featured on Spotify Editorial playlists including Butter, Fresh Finds UK & IE, R&B UK and Sweet Soul Sunday. ‘Butterflies’, also received notable press coverage from music outlets such as Earmilk.
Ivana June has been plying her trade in numerous live venues all across London with her devoted and extremely tight band, recently selling out her headline show at Pizza Express Live in December 2025. If the reception she gets at these gigs is anything to go by, Ivana is certainly one to watch for the future.
With a sound rooted in both introspection and groove, Ivana June is steadily building a body of work that reflects her voice: honest, soulful, and her own vision.

London-based Ivana June drifts between tenderness and tension on 'Peppermint Tea'
Hailing from London, 23-year old Ivana June is released her first soulful single of 2026, Peppermint Tea, on the 4th March. June is a rising independent artist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who blends Neo-Soul, Indie and Pop to create music that is both personal and deeply relatable.
A tender, late night track exploring vulnerability and quiet romance through a Soul/Pop lens.
After writing and producing Peppermint Tea's original demo, Ivana June set to recording it live at a studio in London with her producer Peter Anderson, (guitarist for Skinshape) and drummer Felix Foilleret. Peppermint Tea is June’s honest and vulnerable take on a novel and uncertain romance. “This song represents the potential for uncertainty in the early stages of a romance, but simultaneously the growing sense of comfort the two people may find in one another’s presence”
Although Peppermint Tea drifts through dreamlike, intimate production and harmonically rich vocal arrangements reminiscent of Sade and Hiatus Kaiyote, it is ultimately grounded in conversational, candid storytelling akin to that of Olivia Dean.
June wanted to explore the delicate balance between trepidation and desire, through her comparison of this entanglement to a mug of comforting peppermint tea. She says:
“I was at Notting Hill Gate station, meeting my then 'situationship'. I felt this sense of warmth and excitement even though our relationship was uncertain at the time, and I was afraid of being vulnerable and potentially getting hurt again, which brought butterflies to my stomach. Despite the fear, the invigorating warmth and sense of their presence was the inspiration for the comparison with a cup of peppermint tea"
As well as planning to release her debut EP over the course of this year, Ivana June will continue to perform live, plying her trade in numerous venues across London. She recently sold out her headline show at ‘Pizza Express Live’ with her full band; if the reception she gets at these gigs is anything to go by, Ivana June is certainly one to watch for the future.

In ‘Butterflies’, Ivana June Turns a Situationship into a Soulful Reverie
Following the streaming success of ‘In Time’ and ‘Around’, Ivana June releases her latest single, ‘Butterflies’.
Playfully documenting the growing attachment one begins to feel in the early stages of a romantic relationship, particularly an evolving 'situationship', Ivana blends universally relatable lyrics with a particularly catchy melody. Butterflies mixes soulful verses with a catchy chorus and swelling arrangements to capture a sense of new love.
Ivana writes and co produces all of her music, and ‘Butterflies’ serves as another instalment of her creative collaboration with producer Peter Anderson.
Co-writer Tommy Stewart had originally planned to use the chorus chords in a session with AJ Tracey, but says "as soon as Ivana began singing over them, it was clear they were meant for her".
The song had its live debut at June’s show at Folklore on the 11th July, a celebration of the release.
